POLANGLO is one of the biggest and most prestigious schools in Warsaw. It was founded in 1986 and has grown extensively since then. Our centre in Świetokrzyska 16/28, Warsaw, contains a well-stocked library, a teacher’s corner and a number of  well-equipped classrooms. We have a branch in Bydgoszcz, an important academic and industrial centre in northern Poland.

In 1998, 2002, 2005 and 2008 in recognition of the school's high standards, POLANGLO in Warsaw received formal acceptance of PASE (Polish Association for Standards in English). PASE is an educational body which thoroughly monitors the quality of services rendered by English language schools all over Poland. It is also an acting member of EAQLS-European Association for Quality Language Services.

 

POLANGLO conducts group and individual courses in our centre, Świętokrzyska 16/28, Warsaw, and also provides general and business courses for corporate clients on their premises in all Poland.

At school the students are divided into groups according to their age and level. We teach teenagers and adults at all levels (from complete beginners to proficiency). There may be from 6 to 8 students in a class.

We also conduct a variety of in-company courses: general English, Business English, specialised courses focusing on presentations and other business skills, business correspondence, legal and medical English. In-company students are divided into groups according to their language needs and linguistic competence.

Apart from English we offer courses of the following languages (both in-school and in-company):

• Polish for Foreigners

The main objective of the courses we run is to enable our students to use the language actively and fluently both in their professional and private lives. Our teaching is based on three principles: communicative approach, learner-centred teaching and strong emphasis on motivating students. The focus is on communication skills, maximising students’ talking time by means of pair-work, role-plays, simulations and active involvement of all the participants of the course.

We pride ourselves on the professionalism and enthusiasm of our highly-qualified and well-trained teaching staff. We currently co-operate with more than 50 teachers, both Polish and native speaking. 

The vast majority of our Polish teachers hold B.A or M.A  in English Philology or Applied Linguistics or are graduates of Teacher Training Colleges. The major part of native speaking teachers have a university education and hold CELTA/TEFL/TESOL/DELTA certificates.

Director of Studies is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of teaching. She monitors the teachers' work on a regular basis and provides them with assistance and support wherever required.
